Small-scale funding for one outdoor chair that has been doing its best in direct sun.
Overview
The grant contributes up to $180 toward a modest shade solution for a single, regularly used chair in a publicly accessible location. Eligible solutions include a small canopy, an appropriately positioned shrub or relocation beneath an existing structure with written permission.
Who can apply
- Residents, clubs and informal groups within Nearenough.
- The chair must exist at the time of application and have at least three serviceable legs.
- The chair must receive direct sun for 47 minutes or more between noon and afternoon tea.
- Applications for pairs, benches or emotionally inseparable stools are ineligible.
What to provide
Include one photograph of the chair at approximately 2 pm, a sketch showing north, and a short statement from someone who has sat there. A quote is required for purchases over $50.
